During inclement weather, if you have questions or concerns about your child, you are encouraged to call the office to reach the on-call doctor in the usual manner as you would after hours.

- - -
Availability of flu vaccine depends on volume of patients
and office supply.*
- - -
Your child will not be seeing a physician, and
must be healthy to receive a flu vaccine.
- - -
Only flu vaccines will be administered for walk-in.
If additional vaccines are needed, a scheduled appointment is needed.

*You are encouraged to call the office later in the season to check availability of the flu vaccine. In the event that flu vaccine supply is low, a message will be recorded stating such. You are still welcome to walk-in, however, please note that once the office has run out of its supply, you will need to return on another day when our supply has been replenished.

The recommendations for flu shots have changed this year. Your child will fall into one of these three categories:

If your child is 9 years or older, s/he only needs 1 flu vaccine this year.

If your child received H1N1 vaccine last year AND has received 2 seasonal flu shots in years past, s/he only needs 1 flu vaccine this year.

All other children between 6 months – 9 years old are recommended to receive 2 flu vaccines this season – at least one month apart.

Your child may or may not have received all seasonal flu or H1N1 vaccines at PSNW. Please look back at your records to see which category your child falls within so that you know how many flu vaccines your child will need this season.
